About Melanated Moisture

As a 4C natural herself, founder, Celestial Stewart saw the need for more products that represented 4C women and their hair needs. 

Often times, in her own search for better technics and ways to care for her hair, she came across women with hair that seemed perfect. And honestly, it was typically women with a loose curl pattern. Like many other naturals she found herself looking down on her own hair as if it wasn't beautiful in its own right. 

Learning what worked for her hair, she created Melanated Moisture in 2017. A desire grew to show other people and black women that despite what they heard, their hair could be beautiful.  "As a certified natural hair care formulator, I want to show that with the right care, hydration and nourishment, hair will grow and retain length. I want to create a love for 4C hair within the natural hair movement without the feeling of inadequacy, highlighting healthy strands."
